Hilton Head Island

Spanish Wells Club is a private 9-hole course on the north end of Hilton Head Island, originally designed by George Cobb and thoughtfully redesigned by Clyde Johnston in 2005. Separate tee positions allow for a full 18-hole experience. The layout winds through mature live oaks and scenic ponds, offering a walking-friendly round in a quiet, residential setting away from the busier resort corridors. Membership is open to residents outside the Spanish Wells community, making it accessible to a broader range of island golfers. Course highlights include: George Cobb original design, redesigned by Clyde Johnston in 2005; 9-hole course with separate tees for an 18-hole experience; Tree-lined fairways framed by mature live oaks and scenic ponds; Walking-friendly layout with a relaxed, residential atmosphere; Membership open to non-residents of Spanish Wells. Visitor tip: Membership is available to residents outside the Spanish Wells community — call 843-681-2819 or visit spanishwellsclub.com for current membership details.
